Urban Restoration has twenty-two years of local experience handling the issues and materials unique to Portland's older homes. My deep appreciation for the art of fine renovation runs throughout the company and guarantees your satisfaction with the final result.
The aim of my work is always consistent: to collaborate with you in developing optimal solutions that clearly reflect your taste, budget, and personal needs. I make every attempt to satisfy my customers with a high degree of personal service. References are gladly given upon request. I am a certified lead-based paint renovator in the state of Oregon, License number CCB-LPR #122337.
I have a bachelor's degree in Art and Design and have worked in the field of building construction and preservation since 1985. My experience includes extensive retrofitting, repair, and restoration of residential and commercial buildings in both Oregon and New England.
Over the years I have fine-tuned the balance between retaining the building's character and the efficient use of new materials and techniques. My work has been published nationally in Better Homes and Gardens (November 2009) and locally in Oregon Home (November-December 2006).
Prior to establishing Urban Restoration and Construction, Inc. in 1991, I worked in New England with the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (SPNEA) in Boston, Architectural Preservation Group in Providence, RI, and Sliver Designs in Worcester, MA.
